ABOUT US / ADMINISTRATION AND STRUCTURE

     The non-profit State research organization the State Stende Plant Breeding station is an institution under supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and is operating according regulations.
The main legislative body is the general meeting of researchers.
Once in three years the general meeting of researchers is electing Board of Science, which in its turn is electing chairman of the Board of Science, secretary and director.

Since 2003 Board of Science has been working in the following membership:

Mg.lauks. Solveiga Maļecka – Head of crop management group
Mg.lauks. Miervaldis Krotovs – Chairman of Libagu parish Soviet
Agr. Māra Gruntiņa – Head of oat breeding group
Agr. Lidija Vojevoda – Head of seed breeding department

The Latvian Council of Science has elected and the Ministry of Agriculture has affirmed Dr. agr. Sanita Zute to hold the post of Director.
